Thank you for checking out my website! My name is Sam Ornstein, I’m a retired film editor from New York turned author, playwright, and poet. This store has 6 eBooks that are page turners, spellbinding reads, truly unique insights, unusually fascinating novels, plays, poems, and short stories for you to chose from. Try us once, and you will be hooked! Below you’ll find all six eBooks each one for $9.95, All sales are final, no refunds.

Most recently, I wrote an historical fiction action/adventure novel about being regressed to ancient Egypt, aside from it being inspired and  interesting, most of the  dialogue rhymes making it truly unusual. Not since the inimitable genius Shakespeare wrote in iambic pentameter (10 syllables per line) has anyone rhymed their poetry. I do not compare myself, in any way, to that exceptional writer, I simply wanted to create a story that’s sounds as interesting as can be. I might also add that all of my writings about ancient Egypt are original, previously unheard of, and explain some age old mysteries that cannot be verified, nor can they be disputed.

You will also find a musical stage play about being regressed to ancient Egypt, “Peneeb Toe, the Egyptian,” another novel called, “Brooklyn Heights,” an action/adventure/comedy, and tragedy fiction with it’s synopsis. A collection of 53 poem/song/stories called, Unmasked Faces, and Hidden Places, A theater’s evening’s entertainment play consisting of twenty-two one act plays for an evening’s entertainment called , “Unmasked faces,” and a collection of assorted new poems, short stories, and other works in progress; including a science fiction stage play, that eBook is called, “The spaces Between Words.”  All the above mentioned are offered to you in eBook format.

I’m in the process of searching for a producer, or a publisher, or investors to bring these projects to fruition. The money raised through the sales of these eBooks will be used to move closer to Broadway, Hollywood, or literary publication.

“Journey in Time.” The story’s about a philandering film editor, Richard Rick Knight, who’s mugged with repercussion that send him to a doctor, and finally to a hypnotist who regresses him to ancient Egypt. There, he lives the lifetime of Horemheb, the little known and last pharaoh of the 18th dynasty. Horemheb interacts with the beautiful Queen Nefertiti, the heretic pharaoh Akhenaten; the farther of the boy king, Tutankhamen, the Grand Vizier Ay and numerous others. Rick as Horemheb experiences situations and events that fill in the blanks left by common history. Viewers will be shocked and amazed at Horemheb’s adventures which are  completely unknown until now, and cannot be verified, nor can they be disputed. Upon Horemheb’s demise, Rick returns to the present, but still able to witness his embalming before coming to his senses. Rick’s documentary wins an academy award and while packing to leave California finds a talisman that connects him to his exciting and bombastic past.

Here are some reviews:

“I just finished reading your ebook, “Journey in Time” this is a classic piece and I must confess I was captivated from the introduction on, and spent the whole night reading it. I couldn’t put it down. You rhyme all the dialogue fantastically and also explain film editing, and insights about ancient Egypt I haven’t been aware of before. It’s captivating and educational too. Well articulated Sam; thumbs up!”

Stacy Vaughn. Denver CO

“WOW what a trip? I always loved reading about ancient Egypt, but you show details of their lives I never dreamed of, as well as explaining some of the accepted mysteries about Moses and Tutankhamen. I happily recommend this book!”

Gregory Curtis, Woodstock, GA

Here’s a professional review.

Dear Sam,

The very first impression I gained from “Journey in Time,” is that it is a very well written and competently constructed story. The style is laden with energy and anticipation, and the first-class narrative technique pulls in the reader from the start. It is notoriously difficult to write fiction, particularly with a plot which provokes as much contemplation as this, but you made it look easy. This alone places your book head and shoulders above others of the same type.

The beginning immediately prepares the reader for an evocative experience; you have planted enough seeds to persuade anyone to continue reading. In the first chapters you have introduced your fascinating characters and the energy begins flying off the page. This really is an engrossing read! When reading it I intended first of all reading only as far as a few chapters in order to get a ‘feel’ for the book but found myself so absorbed with the powerful narrative that I continued reading far beyond that.

But the book as a whole has a great deal to recommend it, not least the carefully conceived and generally well executed plot which I found to be very suitable for the target demographic. You have created a story that’s packed with excitement and entertainment all the way through.

Your natural talent for storytelling is evident for all to see and must have drawn deep on your imagination to come up with something as creative as this. Whilst this fascinating story-line is purposeful and entertaining in its own right, it is also given that something ‘extra’ because of the high standard of your writing. All of this has tremendous significance and leads the reader onwards and upwards as the book progresses towards what is an excellent denouement.

In summary, therefore, this is as good a book of its type as I have read for some time and far better than the majority of hopefuls one encounters. It will be particularly strong in the marketplace simply because it is difficult to find fault with it. It possess everything required to be successful and one cannot praise more highly than that.

Yours sincerely,

Sam Ornstein’s “Peneeb Toe, the Egyptian,” the name of the narrator, and the only non-singing role in the play, who tells the story of Horemheb, the little known and last pharaoh of the 18th dynasty. The musical stage play story line is the same as “Journey in Time,” (listed above) but is shortened in length so as not to exceed a two hour stage play. It’s also written ion stage play format, hopefully to make it easier to write music for.

“Although your play has a decided dark side, I enjoyed the historical insights about king Tut and other famous people. I was not aware of Horemheb before your play, but his life was certainly very interesting and exciting. I like your tenacity, your obvious research, and the way you write. I look forward to reading more of your writing.”

Anne Lubianst, Umatilla, FL

“Love your ability to rhyme and still tell an exciting story. Reading a play was easier than I thought and very satisfying.”

Taylor Scoon, Brooklyn, New York

“I don’t believe in past lives, but your Rick had a most memorable experience. You tell a great story!””

Rick Tarallo, Washington Township, NJ

Kudos, for writing one of the best historical fiction plays ever. Can’t wait to see it on Broadway with music.”
